Now that you have understood the day-wise Management preparation strategy for RBI Grade B, it’s time to understand how to prepare Logical Reasoning.

Logical Reasoning Strategy for RBI Grade B

Historically, the reasoning section of the exam has been challenging. However, students should not be disheartened by its difficulty. Consider this challenge an unexpected advantage, as this component primarily serves a qualifying purpose. Scoring a modest 15-20 marks can suffice.

Puzzles and Sitting Arrangements carry significant weight in the exam. While some focus solely on these, it’s a risky strategy due to their time-consuming nature. Aspirants may struggle to solve these questions during the actual exam.

Important Note: Your goal is not to solve all 60 questions but to target 15-20 with 100% accuracy. You must also learn the Art of Picking up the right questions in the exam.

Now that you have understood the day-wise Quant preparation strategy for RBI Grade B, it’s time to understand how to prepare ESI.

Economic and Social Issues Strategy for RBI Grade B

Historically, the ESI paper consistently emphasises current affairs, attributing a significant weightage to this aspect in contrast to static topics.

Therefore, it’s crucial to approach ESI Topics with the understanding that mere comprehension of these Topics won’t be enough to achieve a high score. The examination predominantly features questions rooted in current affairs. Hence, while studying, aim to cover these Topics within a defined timeframe, refraining from excessive immersion into intricate concepts.

Now that you have understood the day-wise Descriptive English preparation strategy for RBI Grade B, it’s time to understand how to prepare Current Affairs.

Current Affairs Strategy for RBI Grade B

Current affairs is one of the most talked about components among aspirants because of its vast nature. The vastness of current affairs and their factual nature make them a really tough nut to crack. The only mantra to excel in current affairs is to keep revising and attempting a lot of MCQs to have better retention.

Important Note

In this plan, we are utilising all 7 days of the week in the following manner:

Current Affairs Strategy RBI Grade B

For Phase 1 of the RBI Grade B Examination, it is desirable that you should cover the Current Affairs of 5 Months before the Phase 1 Exam. For Phase 2, you should cover the Current Affairs of 6 Months before the Phase 2 Exam.

  • As we have mentioned in one of our previous articles, the RBI Grade B notification is expected to be released in June 2024, after the general election. This means that the Phase 1 exam is expected to be in August 2024 and the Phase 2 exam in September 2024. If this scenario is true, you have to start reading Current Affairs from March 2024.
  • If there is a delay in Notification, you should start reading current affairs from later months.
  • In case of a time crunch and you are unable to cover 5 months of Current Affairs before Phase 1, you should cover at least 3 months of Current Affairs on priority.

You should start covering Current Affairs from 1st March 2024. However, there can be 2 scenarios:

Scenario 1
You have reached the Current Affairs Component before or on 1st March 2024.
Action PointHow to Proceed
You are advised to revise the covered components (Management, Finance, Quant, etc.) and avoid covering Current Affairs till 1st January 2024.You have to start reading Current Affairsfrom 1st March 2024.You should start from the Current Affairs of February 2023.You should start covering the week-wise week Current Affairs of February Month. For example, starting on 1st March, you should cover the Current Affairs of the 1st and 2nd week of February and the 2nd week of March. If you have some time left after covering week-wise Current Affairs, then utilise that time to revise the covered portion.
Scenario 2
You have reached the Current Affairs Component after 1st March 2024
Action PointHow to Proceed
You are required to pace up the coverage and cover the current affairs starting from December 2023 so that you can complete the Current affairs of February month as of 31st March 2023.For example, you have reached the Current Affairs component on 15th April 2023. Then you should try to cover the Current Affairs of February Month by 1st May 2024, June by 16th March 2024, and April by 31st May 2024.
