JAIIB 2024 Passing Criteria
Don’t want to use the calculator? No problem! By comparing your marks with the following conditions, you can manually determine whether you have qualified the JAIIB exam.
- If you have scored at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of the examination in a SINGLE attempt, congratulations, you have qualified the JAIIB exam!
For example, let’s suppose you have scored the following marks in the JAIIB papers:
- IE & IFS: 45
- PPB: 47
- AFM: 50
- RBWM: 70
Now, as you have scored at least 45 marks in each subject and overall you have scored 50% marks in all subjects in a SINGLE attempt, you have qualified the JAIIB exam.
- If for any reason you couldn’t clear all the subjects in one attempt, you can keep the credits for passed subjects for up to 3 years or 5 attempts, whichever is earlier. However, now you need to score at least 50 marks in the remaining subject/s to qualify the JAIIB exam.
For example, let’s suppose you have scored the following marks in the JAIIB papers in your earlier attempt:
- IE&IFS: 43
- PPB: 47
- AFM: 50
- RBWM: 70
Now, as you have scored less than 45 marks in one subject, you need to score 50 marks in all the subjects to qualify the JAIIB exam. It means, in this attempt, you have cleared only AFM and RBWM subjects and you need to give IE & IFS and PPB paper in the next cycle.

Class of Pass Criteria
Here is the class of pass criteria for the JAIIB exam:
First Class
To be awarded a First Class, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Secure an aggregate score of 60% or higher across all subjects.
- Pass all subjects in your FIRST PHYSICAL ATTEMPT.
First Class with Distinction
This is the highest distinction awarded on the JAIIB exam. To achieve it, you must:
- Earn an aggregate score of 70% or higher.
- Score at least 60% in each subject.
- Pass all subjects in your FIRST PHYSICAL ATTEMPT.

Only your first attempt at the JAIIB exam is considered for First Class or Distinction.
